Direct-Entry and Direct-Interview avenues end on March 30, 2024 pending extension of the program.
Direct-Entry Avenue
This avenue allows applicants with military or industry experience to directly enter the program without submitting transcripts or interviewing. Applicants must sit for a aptitude test but the score does not affect your direct entry.
Military Experience
- Honorable discharge within 5 years of the date of application with atleast 3 years of active duty OR
- Atleast 6 years of military reserve service who are still serving as a reservist or have a honorable discharge within 2 years of the date of application OR
- Honorable discharge within 5 years of the date of application, have completed a military technical training school and have atleast 2 years of documented experience in a MOS applicable to the commercial or industrial electrical industry.
Industry Experience
- Atleast two-thousand (2000) documented hours (must be indisputable proof such as a TDLR Work Verification Form) in the electrical construction industry.
Direct-Interview Avenue
This avenue allows applicants whom complete a verified pre-apprenticeship program to directly interview with the committee without submitting transcripts. Applicants must sit for a aptitude test but the score does not affect your direct interview.
