The Austin Electrical Training Alliance (AustinETA) is a non-profit organization that provides the training required to receive certification as a Journeyman Inside Wireman (JIW) Electrician. The five (5) year apprenticeship program is comprised of both classroom instruction and on-the-job (OJT) training and upon completion prepares the apprentice to become licensed as a Journeyman electrician in the state of Texas. Since 1945, the AustinETA program has provided Austin and Central Texas with quality, productive, trained and educated electricians and is jointly sponsored by the Central Texas Chapter of the NECA and IBEW Local Union 520.
The Austin ETA also provides Continuing Education and Safety training for Construction Wireman (CW) / Construction Electrician (CE) and Journeyman Inside Wireman (JIW) electricians. Please check our course catalog for classes, schedules and cost information.
