The Application Process

Once we have received the above documents and the application fee, you will be scheduled for an Online Aptitude Test (OAT) that will take place at our facility. You must score a minimum of X on the OAT in order to be considered for an interview for admittance as an apprentice. If you do not meet the minimum score required, you must wait a minimum of six (6) months before you are able to re-test on the OAT.

The recruitment, selection, employment and training of apprentices, during their apprenticeship, shall be without discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex or age – except that the applicant must be at least 17 years of age to apply and 18 years of age at the time of indenture. The Austin Electrical Training Alliance (AustinETA) does not, and will not, discriminate against a qualified individual with a disability because of the disability of the individual. The sponsor will take affirmative action to provide equal opportunity in apprenticeship and will operate the apprenticeship program as required under law and lawful regulations issued there under.

Applicants who meet ALL basic requirements will be interviewed by the AustinETA. Apprentices will be selected in order of their final ranking.
