The Austin Electrical Training Alliance is currently taking applications for the electrical apprenticeship.

What's the apprenticeship?    The apprenticeship is a 5 year program that trains you to become a Journeyman Inside Wireman and prepares you to pass the state of Texas licensing exam.

Best of all - you work in the electrical field while attending the program - Earn while you Learn!

The minimum salary for a new apprentice is $13.76/hour - and you receive salary increases throughout your time in the program.

* Total Wages are based on a 40 hour work week and using the wage rate for 26 weeks for a 6-month period or 52 weeks for a 1-year period.

1Tuition is due each year by June 30th.   Late fees apply after that date.

2These are estimated costs and your actual cost may be lower if you already own some/all needed tools.

3Union dues are payable each month to IBEW Local Union 520 and the current dues are $37.25/month.
